Aunori and Live Photos: what is the difference?
Both keep a picture with sound. Live Photos capture a few seconds around the shutter. Aunori is made to keep the whole atmosphere of a place and bring it back later.

Sound length and quality
A Live Photo is a short moving image with the sound around the shutter — about three seconds. That is perfect for a splash or a laugh. Aunori starts recording after the cover photo and keeps going until you stop, so you can capture the full atmosphere of a place, in Spatial Audio on compatible iPhones.
Finding the moment again
Live Photos sit among every other photo you take. Aunori is a separate, calmer archive just for Moments with sound: search by title, place, sound, or note, browse by month, return on the map, or let Echoes bring a Moment back on its anniversary or when you are nearby.
Privacy
Both keep your media on your devices by default. Aunori adds no account and no feed; location is optional, and private iCloud Sync is an opt-in Aunori Pro feature.
When Live Photos are enough
For everyday snapshots, Live Photos are great and need no extra app. Use Aunori when the sound is the memory — a place you want to hear again, not just see move.
