Bring home the sound of a place
Every trip has a sound you will not find in your camera roll: the harbour at dawn, a street market, the language around you. Aunori keeps it as an audio travel journal you can return to.

Why sound brings a trip back
Travel photos look alike after a while. The sound of a place does not: the specific bell of a tram, the rhythm of waves on one beach, a vendor calling out in a language you were just learning. A few seconds of it can put you back on that street.
What to record on a trip
- Arrivals: the station, the airport hall, the ferry pulling in.
- Mornings: a city waking up, cafés opening, birds before traffic.
- Markets and squares, where the language and life of a place are loudest.
- Nature: the sea, a waterfall, wind on a mountain pass.
- Last evenings: the sound you want to remember when you are home again.
Your trips on a map
When you allow location, Aunori saves the place with each Moment. The Map tab shows your Moments where they happened, with filters for sounds and dates. Smart Collections gather Moments by place and season, and an Echo might bring a trip back a year later, on the same day.
Private by design
Aunori needs no account and has no public profile or feed. Moments are stored on your iPhone; location is optional. If you want your trips on all your Apple devices, private iCloud Sync is available with Aunori Pro.
Sharing a place with someone
Send a single Moment with a private link that is end-to-end encrypted and expires after seven days, or create a shared album with travel companions through iCloud. In shared albums, audio, covers, titles, and dates are shared; notes and locations stay private.
Travel recording tips
- Record after you arrive somewhere, not while walking — footsteps and wind dominate.
- Use Spatial Audio on iPhone 16 or later for the most immersive result.
- Add a short memory note: who was there, what you smelled, what happened next.
